The XR5.0 project was presented at the IEEE International Symposium on the Emerging Metaverse (IEEE ISEMV), held in Cyprus on 24 October 2026. Fellow Horizon Europe projects Geniverse, MetaCities and Sincere also presented.

The presentation showed how XR5.0 combines XR, digital twins and trustworthy AI to support Industry 5.0. Its solutions are validated in real industrial applications, including training, operator support and product design.

A key highlight was the XR5.0 LLM engine, developed by INNOV-ACTS. Through an AI/XR API, the engine brings retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) and agentic GenAI capabilities to XR applications. It grounds its responses in plant and industrial documentation and uses technologies such as ChatGPT and Mistral.

The presentation also covered XR5.0’s leading role in the BeyondXR cluster. The cluster connects more than 17 EU XR projects through webinars, joint publications and an open-access book planned for publication in 2027.

The event gave XR5.0 a chance to share its progress and exchange insights with other European projects, strengthening collaboration across the XR ecosystem.
