Milena Di Nenno, AGORA Marie Skłodowska-Curie fellow and doctoral candidate at Innov-Acts, presented her work at the conference of ItAIS – the Italian Chapter of AIS, held in Viterbo, Italy.
She presented the paper “Communicating Digital Responsibility in a Metaverse Platform Ecosystem: A Platform Owner’s Account,” written with Ariana Polyviou, Efpraxia Zamani and John Soldatos.
The paper looks at how Roblox communicates responsibility to its developers. The platform takes accountability for keeping the platform safe, but passes much of the work of delivering that safety to developers in the form of obligations.
The paper received the Alessandro D’Atri Award.
Milena also took part in the conference’s Doctoral Consortium, where she received valuable feedback on her research and connected with fellow doctoral researchers.
