Our AGORA Marie Skłodowska-Curie fellow Milena Di Nenno presented at the 19th EuroMed Academy Conference in Paphos, Cyprus, on 23- 25 September 2026!
She presented research conducted with Minas Naltsidis within the framework of the AGORA-EU-project titled “Intellectual Property Rights Versus Platform User Base on Metaverse Platforms.”
With a factorial experiment, they look at what drives creators to contribute content to metaverse platforms: the size of the user base or the protection of their intellectual property. Their results point to protection, which could translate into leverage for competitive advantage for Euopean emerging virtual world platforms.
The full paper has been selected for publication in a Palgrave Macmillan (Springer Nature Switzerland) book, together with a small number of other papers from the conference.
Congratulations to Milena and Minas!
